Vanilla Cake

  1. Preheat oven to 350° F. Grease a 9x13 pan.
  2. Combine flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt in a bowl. Set aside.
  3. Beat butter and sugar on medium for 2 minutes, until light and fluffy. Scrape down the sides of the bowl.
  4. Add egg whites and vanilla, beat on medium until smooth and well combined.
  5. Add a third of the flour mixture, beat until incorporated.
  6. Add half the milk, beat until incorporated.
  7. Add another third of the flour mixture, beat until incorporated, scraping the sides as needed.
  8. Add the remaining milk, beat on medium until incorporated.
  9. Add the remaining flour mixture, beat until well combined, scraping as needed.
  10. Bake 35-40 minutes, until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Let cool.

Strawberry Sauce

  1. Add pureed strawberries, sugar, and vanilla to a medium saucepan.
  2. Cook over medium heat until it begins to boil, stirring occasionally.
  3. Boil for 1 minute, then remove from heat and set aside to cool.

Whipped Cream & Assembly
