Ingredients

  • 2 tomatoes, quartered
  • 2 jalapenos, halved
  • 5 guajiollo peppers
  • 0.25 yellow onion
  • 5 garlic cloves
  • 0.5 bunch cilantro
  • 0.33 cups sour cream
  • 0.25 cups water
  • 1 tbsp salt (experiment)
  • Juice of 1 lime (experiement)
  • Experiment with soy sauce, vinegar, sugar
  • Experiment with Chipotle in Adobo sauce or dried chile de arbol to balance earthy notes from guajiollo and jalapenos

Steps

  1. Roast tomatoes, jalapenos, guajiollo peppers, onion, garlic, and salt in a dry skillet until charred.
  2. Blend the roasted ingredients with cilantro, sour cream, water, and lime juice until smooth.
