Steps
- Prepare the Ginger: Peel and finely grate the fresh ginger. Use a grater or a
food processor for this.
- Mix Ingredients: Combine grated ginger, soy sauce, vinegar, sugar, sesame
oil, and lemon juice in a bowl. Add garlic if using.
- Adjust Consistency: Add water to reach desired consistency, if necessary.
- Stir and Dissolve Sugar: Stir well to dissolve sugar and combine flavors.
- Let It Sit: Allow to sit for at least 30 minutes before serving.
- Strain (Optional): Strain for a smoother sauce.
- Refrigerate: Store leftovers in the refrigerator, best used within a few
days.
